Bahiana promotes awards for innovative projects in the field of Health

Inova+Saúde reaches its 3rd edition with a prize of R$ 30 thousand.

Seeking to encourage entrepreneurship in the academic environment, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública created, in 2017, the Inova+ Saúde Award, which also recognizes and disseminates ideas with transformative capacity, in addition to promoting interaction between academia, health service providers and the productive sector. This year, the initiative reaches its 3rd edition, with a partnership with Maria Emilia Foundation, and will grant R$30 to the winning projects. History
In its first edition, the award recognized five winners for each of the categories: "Technologies to support the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of diseases" and "Technologies to support professional education or health management". Trophies and financial recognition were awarded for the first three places in the amounts of R$3, R$2 and R$1, in both categories. The other winners received certificates. In total, 25 projects were registered.

The second edition of Inova+ Saúde took place in 2020 and awarded two winners for each of the categories referring to the challenges proposed by the partner institutions Hospital Cárdio Pulmonar, Hospital Português and Clínica de Terapia da Dor: "Eliminate the risk of newborns falling in maternity wards "; "Optimization of the technical evaluation process of medical prescriptions for hospitalized patients"; "Improving patient adherence to treatments through interaction". In total, 12 proposals competed for the Award. Awards with a certificate, trophy and financial recognition were given to those classified in first place, worth R$4 each, in the 3 categories.
