The academic of the Professional Master's Program in Health Technologies at Bahiana and scholarship holder from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) Jéssica Ramos Ribeiro and her advisor Prof. Cristiane Maria Carvalho Costa Dias won 3rd place at the HACKMED Conference 2023, an annual event in which leaders and experts come together to discuss the main trends in the health market with a focus on the advancement of health technologies. HACKMED took place on August 18th, in São Paulo, and, on that occasion, the master's student presented the FlashPTR – Flash Physiotherapy Test Respiratory.
With an innovative character, FlashPTR – Flash Physiotherapy Test Respiratory is an application developed with the aim of assisting professionals in evaluating lung function and respiratory muscle strength in a practical, interactive, effective and efficient way. “We realized that devices have evolved from manual to digital, but each one has its own system. FlashPTR provides analysis of the assessment of the patient's respiratory function, enabling the comparison of future data from the assessments carried out and the functional report”, explains Jéssica Ribeiro.
The application is already registered, in the prototype phase. Jéssica says that she had the full support of the Technological Innovation Center (NTI) at Bahiana in all stages of creation, in the development of the software and brand, in the registration of the application, in the creation of the logo and who also received assistance from legal advice regarding doubts about the General Data Protection Law.
