Bahiana holds VIII Scientific and Technological Initiation Seminar

The Dean of Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies Stricto Sensu of Bahiana held, on August 31, in a remote format, the VIII Seminar on Scientific and Technological Initiation. Occurring annually, the event aims to provide Scientific and Technological Initiation students with a moment of reflection on research, science and technology. The dean of Research, Innovation and Stricto Sensu Graduate Studies, Dr. Atson Fernandes, the president of the Scientific Initiation Committee, Prof. Thaís Calasans, undergraduate course coordinators and professors were present at the meeting.

The program brought Luís Meireles, founding director of MDI Industrial, a technology development company in the medical area, as a guest lecturer, who presented the theme "The Importance of Science in the World of Entrepreneurship". In his speech, the researcher showed paths and possibilities of a science focused on entrepreneurship.

The seminar was also an opportunity for students and professors to learn more about the rules of the Inova+ Saúde Award, which this year is being held in partnership with Maria Emilia Foundation and will grant R$ 30 in prizes, to be used for the development of the project and training of the team, whose actions will be developed within the scope of the Pre-Incubation Program in Innovation in Health of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública.
