Culture, Art and Leisure inspire activities at the XVI MCC

Tenda Cultural received exhibitors and musical presentations.

Culture, music and crafts were the main elements of the Tenda Cultural, a space where playfulness reigned on the second day of the XVI Scientific and Cultural Exhibition of Bahiana, held at the Cabula Academic Unit, on October 6th and 7th.

Throughout the day, the tent received musical presentations promoted by the psychologist from the Psychopedagogical Care Center (NAPP) Gustavo Vilas Boas, together with students from Bahiana. The space housed exhibitions and sales of handicrafts, sweets and pies produced by employees, employees, students from Bahiana and patients from the Occupational Therapy Service (SERTO).

     


Fabiana Perin, manager of the Institutional Relationship Center at Bahiana (Relaci) and responsible for Tenda Cultural, explains that the activity was open to artistic and cultural production, both by students, employees and teachers of the Bahiana, how much of the external audience that had the opportunity to exhibit their work. “In addition to handcrafted production, we also seek to make room in the tent for gastronomy. Scientific production in Bahiana it is quite consolidated and, this year, we aimed to stimulate the cultural part, seeking to attract students to enjoy other MCC environments as well”.

     


To the coordinator of the Occupational Therapy Service (SERTO) of the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic of Bahiana (ADAB), Sofia Campos, the Scientific Exhibition is an important initiative for the institution because it is a moment of integration between employees, students and professors, in which all the scientific, artistic and cultural production produced throughout the year is presented. "Bringing SERTO's patients to exhibit their work in the tent was a very enriching moment and denotes the recognition of the work that has been produced".     

Lucas Campos, a 7th semester student of Biomedicine, reports that the cultural tent managed to bring together good artistic works. "I found it interesting to mix music and art in the tent. MCC is a relevant initiative of the Bahiana for all of us at the academy".
Outside the tent, also part of the cultural program, performances were held with dancers from the Ballet at Teatro Castro Alves.
