A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. Raise awareness among the population about Pink October and Blue November. This was the objective of the extension action carried out by the Academic League of Morphofunctional Sciences Intercursos da Bahiana (LACIM), at Praça Ana Lúcia Magalhães, on the morning of November 4th. The program included blood pressure measurement and guidance on healthy health habits and breast and prostate cancer. The activity was coordinated by professors Rafael Lélis, Cláudia Furtado and Jaqueline Marotti, with the participation of Medicine students. The action also included the participation of mastologist Sálvia Canguçu. “An extremely important event to alert the population about breast cancer. The population's orientation changes history, changes diagnoses, changes treatments. Early diagnosis saves lives”, highlighted the doctor. Alef Santiago, a 5th semester Medicine student, highlights that extension activities enrich the learning of how medicine can make a difference in a person's life: “We are able to have contact with a diverse audience, of all ages, social classes, ethnicity. And this gives us a very rich perspective in relation to the population’s perception of knowledge of health topics, especially the one we are addressing in the action”. LACIM professor and coordinator, Rafael Lélis, points out the action as an important health prevention initiative: “It is a tradition of Bahiana provide education and health for our community. This is yet another action, with the support of LACIM leaders and other teachers, with the aim of drawing attention to care and prevention. We need, every day, to provide more actions of this type.”

LACIM carries out extension action at Praça Ana Lúcia Magalhães

The Academic League of Morphofunctional Sciences Bahiana (LACIM) carried out, on March 18, at Praça Nossa Senhora da Luz, a health prevention action, promoting the Marinho Azul Marinho, which aims to alert the population about the importance of awareness of preventing and combating cancer colorectal. The activity was coordinated by Prof. Rafael Lélis and had the participation of academic members of the league.
"Being able to participate in this very enriching moment, in which we were able to be directly with people, makes me certain that it never hurts to have initiative to do good. And I also say that the more information we can spread for the good of people , the more will we have to continue carrying out projects in favor of our own society. It is a great happiness to be able to be part of this and to want to do much more with this sensational team!", declared Ananda Vieira, student of the 4th semester of the Medicine course at Bahiana and Director of Communication at LACIM.
Prof. Rafael Lélis emphasizes that the initiative is an extension action of great importance, as it brings knowledge based on science to the community, disseminating quality information to the population. "I congratulate the initiative of the students of LACIM, as well as the support of Bahiana, so that the action had achieved success", declared Lélis.
