Academic League carries out action to prevent and combat colorectal cancer for the community of Salvador

The Academic League of Morphofunctional Sciences Bahiana (LACIM) carried out, on March 18, at Praça Nossa Senhora da Luz, a health prevention action, promoting the Marinho Azul Marinho, which aims to alert the population about the importance of awareness of preventing and combating cancer colorectal. The activity was coordinated by Prof. Rafael Lélis and had the participation of academic members of the league.

"Being able to participate in this very enriching moment, in which we were able to be directly with people, makes me certain that it never hurts to have initiative to do good. And I also say that the more information we can spread for the good of people , the more will we have to continue carrying out projects in favor of our own society. It is a great happiness to be able to be part of this and to want to do much more with this sensational team!", declared Ananda Vieira, student of the 4th semester of the Medicine course at Bahiana and Director of Communication at LACIM.

Prof. Rafael Lélis emphasizes that the initiative is an extension action of great importance, as it brings knowledge based on science to the community, disseminating quality information to the population. "I congratulate the initiative of the students of LACIM, as well as the support of Bahiana, so that the action had achieved success", declared Lélis.
