A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. "Precariousness of the childhood care network" was the theme of the opening table of the second day of the II International Symposium on Childhood and Vulnerabilities, held by Bahiana on June 15th and 16th, in a remote format, broadcast on YouTube. Mediated by psychologist Lua Cal, the first panel of the day had a speech by the prosecutor for children and youth in Salvador, Carlos Martheo Guanaes, who discussed the topic "Dismantling public policies and effects on child care". Then, the social worker and institutional supporter in mental health for the Municipal Health Secretariat Isabel Barbosa shared her experiences in the CAPS service. "What mobilized the theme of this symposium was precisely the fraying of the network. We have nowhere to refer these children to be assisted. We need public policies for childhood", pointed out, in his speech, Andréa Diniz, coordinator of the event alongside the Prof. Isabella Queiroz. The second table brought as its theme "Medicalization and diagnosis – Who is it for?" and featured the lecture "Between suffering and medicalization: dilemmas of child psychiatry in the post-pandemic", by UERJ professor Rossano Cabral Lima. Prof. Rossano shared the table with the professor of the Medicine course at Bahiana and coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Autism Research Laboratory – Labyrinth, Dr. Milena Pondé, who presented the question "Who is the diagnosis for?". The table was mediated by Edna Bittelbrunn. The event ended with the conference “Childhood and Vulnerabilities”, given by the pedagogue, founder and president of Avante Educação e Mobilização Social, Maria Thereza Oliva Marcílio de Souza, mediated by the dean of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani. “In addition to our role as health professionals, our role as citizens is valuable. This one is much bigger. Therefore, our participation in politics is very important”, pointed out the dean of the Bahiana during the debate.

Second day of the International Symposium on Children and Vulnerabilities discusses weaknesses in the health network for children

With images by Di Cavalcani and the sound of the song "Mainha" by Chico Buarque, the II International Symposium on Childhood and Vulnerabilities opened, which took place on June 15 and 16, with live transmission on the official channel of the Bahiana, on Youtube. The program included lectures, round tables and the participation of national and international guests. The opening had the speeches of the coordinator of the Professional Master's Degree in Psychology and Health Interventions, Mônica Daltro, of the coordinator of the Psychology course, Sylvia Barreto, and of the coordinators of the event, Isabella Queiroz and Andréa Diniz. "Childhood, Diaspora and Contemporaneity" was the theme of the opening lecture given by Ilária Pirone, a member of the Psychopedagogical Medical Center of the University of Paris 8, where she develops the "exile clinic". His speech was followed by the round table "Challenges of the Clinic in the Face of Vulnerability", with the speeches "TEA, importance of school inclusion: a case study", presented by the professor of the faculty of Psychology at UNEB Larissa Ornellas, and by " The child and the temporary shelter", with the psychoanalyst Lia Batista, who works at the Delafontaine Hospital in Paris. "Diálogos da Floresta: the future of the mothers of the Amazon" was the theme of the third table, mediated by the former student of Bahiana and psychologist Júlia Baleeiro and which had the speech of the professor at the Federal University of Ceará, nurse, master and doctor in Public Health Márcia Machado, whose presentation was about the "Universal Right to Childhood". In the evening, the symposium resumed its activities with the presentation of the table "Medicalization and Biopower - Neoliberal Policies", with the psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Inês Catão, who brought the theme "Latrogenic use of diagnosis and neoliberalism".
