Professional Master's Degree in Psychology and Health Interventions welcomes professor from Colombian entity

The Psychology and Diversity in Health research group received, on April 10th, within the scope of the Research Line, prof. Dr. Maria Luisa Latorre Castro to discuss the research project "Men's health and mortality indicators: a comparative study between Brazil and Colombia", presented by Iure Alves Araújo, student of the Professional Master's Degree in Psychology and Health Interventions. The meeting strengthens the partnership in the development of the Observatorio Internacional Institucional de Salud Publica (OIISP).

Maria Luisa Latorre Castro is professor and director of the Master's Degree in Public Health at the Observatorio Internacional Institucional de Salud Publica (OIISP), an initiative of the Juan N. Corpas University Foundation, in Colombia. She is a doctor, a specialist in Health Administration with an emphasis on Social Security and a doctorate in Public Health, a title she obtained for her research into sudden infant death syndrome in Bogotá. She is a postdoctoral fellow at the Global Initiative on Healthy and Productive Longevity at the University of Toronto.

According to the coordinator of the Professional Master's Degree in Psychology and Health Interventions and leader of the Psychology and Diversity in Health research group, Mônica Daltro, the meeting strengthens the partnership between Bahiana and the Observatorio Internacional Institucional de Salud Publica, opening space for other studies to be carried out bilaterally.
