A School Bahiana attended the World Partners Day, at the Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE), In Canada. The event took place on March 25th and aimed to promote the approximation between partner higher education institutions, among them the Bahiana, which was represented by the coordinator of the Institutional Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) Maria Antonieta Araújo, received there with great hospitality by the president of that university, Dr. Tim Loreman, Vice President and Director of International Affairs, Dr. Manfred Zeuch and the International Relations Manager, Ms. Amanda Thorson.
In addition to the presentation of CUE's main academic activities and infrastructure to the guests, each institution had a space to display banners and materials of interest to international students. THE Bahiana included informational materials on undergraduate and graduate courses, research and extension activities, including the Portuguese language course for English speakers, which will take place online. the space of Bahiana at World Partners Day was visited by students and professors who participated in the event.
The fruits are already being generated from this meeting. A field of dialogue was established between Dr. Farzad Zare-Bawani, adjunct professor of the Doctorate in Psychology at CUE and researcher in the field of autism, and Dr. Bahiana - the Labyrinth.
The initial goal is the development of collaborative research involving exchange and short-term internships to exchange experiences between undergraduate and graduate students from 2023 onwards.
Currently three students from Bahiana – one in medicine and two in psychology – are on a mobility period at that University. The next public notice will be published shortly by the REAI and the Bahiana will have four mobility spaces.
The initiatives will be in conjunction with universities in the US, Colombia and Argentina.
Broadcasted on YouTube, the event takes place from November 8th to 10th in partnership with the Centro Universitario Del Norte, of the Universidad de Guadalajara (Mexico), and the Universidad Ces (Colombia).
