VI Seminar on Scientific and Technological Initiation brings together students to discuss research

The VI Seminar on Scientific and Technological Initiation, promoted by Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, brought together students, scholarship recipients and volunteers from the Institutional Scientific and Technological Initiation Program of Bahiana (IC/IT) and their faculty advisors to discuss the research. The Seminar took place on September 10, via the Zoom platform, under the coordination and mediation of the Stricto Sensu Dean of Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies Bahiana professor Dr. Atson Fernandes.

During the event, the participants spoke about the functioning of the IC/IT program of the Bahiana and the possibilities that the scientific area provides to students. The event also featured a lecture by Dr. Handerson Jorge Leite, Director of Innovation at the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Bahia – FAPESB.

Professors and researchers, such as Urbino Tunes (coordinator of the Dentistry course), Luiza Ribeiro (coordinator of People Development), Milena Pondé (professor of the Psychology course) and Fernanda Grassi (professor of the permanent nucleus of the Postgraduate Course in Medicine and Health Humana) were present and highlighted the importance of proactivity in the research area. About 170 students and volunteers participated in the Seminar.
