A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. The Course Completion Work, the famous TCC, is a construction that takes time, patience and perseverance. Recognizing the hard effort of its students, the Medicine course held, on November 25th, at the Campus Brotas, the presentation of the TCC by students from the 8th semester, bringing together around 170 people including teachers, students and family members. The academic event had not been held in person for three years, due to the pandemic. The TCC committee of the Medicine course highlights the importance of the event, as it is a moment in which academics can share the results of two years of collaborative work with their advisors and Research Methodology professors. In total, the work of 60 students was presented.

<img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://cms.bahiana.cworks.cloud/uploads/bahiana/originals/c19ee2ab-2548-4c82-b23e-b4192dfc08d2.jpg" alt="Bahiana Marie Christine Laznik Award 2022" width="575" height="396"> The work "Risks to the mental health of children residing in peripheries in the context of Covid-19: documentary study", authored by student Pedro Ian Andrade and teacher Isabella Queiroz, from the Psychology course at Bahiana, presented in the Poster modality, at the VII International Transdisciplinary Congress on Children and Adolescents – Novos Horizontes, was the winner of the Marie Christine Laznik Award. The congress took place from August 3 to 6, via the Zoom platform, and brought together health professionals and researchers, public managers, historians, sociologists, psychoanalysts and other interested parties who study, work and/or produce around children and adolescents. The poster was the result of the academic's course conclusion work, which was guided by Professor Isabella Queiroz, also from the Psychology course at Bahiana. The student's research investigated what was being published in the magazines Veja and Carta Capital and in the newspapers Estadão and Folha de São Paulo about children living in the periphery, in the context of Covid-19. "With this material, he categorized the data and observed what was said about the condition of these children living in favelas during this period. From then on, he made a discussion, based on psychoanalysis, about the risks experienced by mental health", explains the teacher.
