A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. With live broadcast, through the official channel of the Bahiana on YouTube, the closing morning of the XXI Scientific and Cultural Exhibition of Bahiana it happened on Saturday, October 2nd. The activities began with speeches by the People Development coordinator, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro, and by the MCC coordinators, Prof. Carolina Pedroza, dean of Extension, and Prof. Lígia Villas Bôas, supervisor of the Núcleo de Faculty Development (NIDD) of the Bahiana. As the opening artistic activity, the dance performance of the Physiotherapy teacher Rachel Trinchão was presented. The virtual exhibition “Your body is nature” by the indigenous painter and illustrator Wanessa Ribeiro was also re-presented.&nbsp; The meeting followed its schedule with musical interventions by the duo “Fefe e Matheus”, made up of students from the 2nd semester of the Dentistry course, Fernanda Cruz (@fefecruz_) and Matheus Cintra (@matheuscinttra). As in every year, financial incentives for registration and presentation of research at academic events, in the amount of R$500,00, were raffled among researchers with approved scientific papers. The award winners were students Luana Santos Pires, from the Physiotherapy course, with the work "Construction of therapeutic resources with recyclable materials: an alternative for functional re-education of upper limbs", and Vanessa Peçanha Alves, from the Medicine course, with her work "Assessment and applicability of an instrument for monitoring prenatal care in a family health unit". The morning of the second day of the MCC also included oral presentations by the MCC and the Scientific Journey, in addition to the Folhas que cura workshops, with Maria Conceição Souza dos Santos Costa, religious leader of the Caboclo Sultão das Matas Center, Ancestral Medicine of the Apurinã People , with Ewyryky Apurinã, representative of the Apurinã people of Aldeia Kamapã and one of the founders of the Pupykary Institute, and Integrative and herbal practices, with Walmir de Oliveira – Vava/MST Norte da Bahia.
This year, XXI MCC reached the mark of 402 paying subscribers, which allowed the collection of R$10.050,00 (ten thousand and fifty reais) that will be allocated to the donation of whole powdered milk for the Follow-up Program for Mothers with HTLV/BAHIANA and for the institutions, Lar Vida e Pérolas de Cristo. In all, 283 papers were presented, 59 of which were oral communications, within the MCC and 224 researches developed within the Scientific Initiation Program (PIBIC). Check out:

As in the previous edition, the MCC had the Popular Education Tent in Health, which this year honored the educator Paulo Freire for the passage of its centenary. All programming was broadcast live on the official channel of Bahiana on YouTube, in the afternoon of October 1st, and began with the presentation of the virtual exhibition “Your body is nature”, by the indigenous painter and illustrator Wanessa Ribeiro. The program continued with the Round of Conversation “Planetary Health: (re)connections and dialogues based on the cosmovision of the various indigenous and traditional peoples of Brazil”, which included the invited participants: Eliete Paraguassu – shellfish collector, quilombola from Ilha de Maré, militant of the Fishermen's Movement, of the National Fisheries Articulation and parliamentary advisor to Pretas for Salvador; Aluízio de Azevedo – gypsy calon, journalist, Master in Education and PhD in Information, Communication and Health; Lourivaldo Kalunga – quilombola, biologist, researcher, farmer, Master in Sustainable Development; Edielson Barbosa dos Santos – quilombola, militant of the Movement of Fishermen and Artisanal Fishermen of Brazil, member of the state and national coordination representing the Articulação da Juventude Pesqueira and Ubiraci Pataxó – indigenous therapist, educator, apprentice, shaman and researcher (UFSB). The activity had as mediator Flávia Conde Cabral e Dias, master in Public Health, participant of the Movement of Popular Education in Health – Bahia. The meeting ended with a debate with the institution's guests and professors. "This event is just a provocation. If we want to preserve planetary life, we have to include the diversity of knowledge in our curricula. XXI MCC: Popular Education Tent in Health pays tribute to educator Paulo Freire

With artistic performances, debates on affirmative actions and the power to transform reality, the VIII Extent of the Bahiana took place on October 1st and was broadcast on the Zoom platform. The opening ceremony included a presentation by Professor Carolina Pedroza, dean of extension, and the occasion was part of the programming of the XXI Scientific and Cultural Exhibition of Bahiana, held on October 1st and 2nd, whose main theme was "Planetary Health from the perspective of original and traditional peoples". The opening of the Exhibition featured the presentation of Cordel Redes Candeal, composed of extension students from the Redes Candeal Extension Program. Soon after, the panel “The Learning Experiences of Extension in Health Education”, with the guest Denize Ribeiro (professor at UFRB), was given. Professor Carolina Pedroza mediated the conversation “What we learned in the Extension of Bahiana?”. In addition, representing the Itinerant Mental Health Community Program (CISMA) and the Youth Care Center (CAJU), students Jade Guimarães, CISMA extensionist, and Tacynha Breezy, member of Grupo Performático Sem Limites (affiliated with REPROTAI), spoke during the ceremony. The program continued with lectures given by extension students and community representatives. After the elucidation was finished, a space for debates was opened, and the public could participate.

With the theme "Planetary Health from the perspective of original and traditional peoples", the Bahiana held, on October 1st and 2nd, the XXI Scientific and Cultural Exhibition, with satellite events: XI Researchers Forum, VIII Extension Exhibition and XIX Scientific Initiation Journey (PIBIC). All activities were carried out virtually, with live broadcasts, on the official channel of the Bahiana on YouTube and in rooms on the Zoom platform. The opening of the event, held in the afternoon of October 1st, was coordinated by the Dean of Extension of the Bahiana, prof. Carolina Pedroza and the supervisor of the Teacher Development Center (NIDD) prof. Lígia Marques Vilas Bôas, with the presence of the dean of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, and the Dean of Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies Stricto Sensu, prof. Atson Fernandes.
 According to Prof. Carolina Pedroza, this year's theme is relevant for promoting the concept of a cosmovision that reintegrates human beings into nature, based on the knowledge of the original peoples. According to her, the objective was to discuss planetary health from a decolonial perspective. "The importance of the worldview of traditional peoples who have wisdom. I believe that the solution to our problems lies in not only valuing the wisdom of Western science, but in seeing other ways of seeing the life that these peoples bring", declared the dean gives Bahiana in his official opening address of XXI MCC.
 The table "Planetary Health from the narratives of original and traditional peoples", with the participation of Yalorixá from Ilê Axé Abassá de Ogum and director of Ìyá Àkobíode: women who transform, Jaciara Ribeiro dos Santos, and the indigenous Mbyá Guarani people, Iberê Guarani Mbyá, Ph.D. candidate in Social Anthropology, UNB, and Master in Social Sciences, Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. The meeting was mediated by professors Lavínia Boaventura and Renata Roseghini, coordinator of the Center for Integrative and Complementary Practices at Bahiana (CEPICS).
