A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública was honored in a Special Session of the Academia de Medicina da Bahia, for the passage of its 70 years of history. The ceremony took place virtually via the Zoom platform on the night of December 12. On the occasion, the dean of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, held a lecture to present the main actions of the institution in recent years, such as the stricto sensu postgraduate courses, winning the GPTW Award for the best institution to work for in Bahia and the 19th place in the award in terms of national level, in addition to initiatives in the field of teaching-assistance in health. The session was attended by the president of AMB, Dr. Antônio Carlos Vieira Lopes, recently appointed director of the Foundation Bahiana for the Development of Sciences, the entity that maintains the Bahiana, and the vice-president of the entity, professor of Bahiana and coordinator of the Nucleus of Neurosciences and the HTLV Center of Bahiana, Dr. Bernardo Galvão Castro Filho, in addition to coordinators of undergraduate and graduate courses at the institution, professors and collaborators. "A school is, in essence, a place where students and teachers are at the center of teaching and learning actions. They are the very reason for its existence. Taking care of the teacher-student relationship guarantees the quality of the training offered. fundamental for the objectives to be reached", emphasized, in her presentation, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, pointing out that today the institution has more than 17 professionals trained over its 70 years of history.

A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública celebrated, on May 31st, the 70th anniversary of a history based on the tradition of innovating.
The date was marked by a <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://youtu.be/WC7UAeNTkvw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">special live</a>, broadcast on his YouTube channel, with an interview and show with the Bahian artist Carlinhos Brown. One hundred percent Brazilian and Bahian, but always connected with the world. This is Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública who celebrated, last Tuesday, May 31, in a special live, broadcast on his YouTube channel, the 70 years of a history that is based on the tradition of innovating. The night featured a speech by the dean, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, and an interview and show with the Bahian artist Carlinhos Brown. In her opening words, Dean Maria Luisa Soliani, once again, invited participants and the public to reflect on the responsibility of citizenship, resisting injustices and inequalities. She made gifts such as prof. Humberto de Castro Lima, honorary president of the Foundation Bahiana for Science Development and its first general coordinator. Alongside him, educator Edgar Morin was also remembered and his famous motto: "The most important thing in education is to teach understanding, to put yourself in the other's shoes", quoted the dean. Finally, although Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani has expressed a critical analysis of the neoliberal system currently in force in societies around the world, she ended her words with an invitation to celebrate: "Let's celebrate because we still have the capacity to be indignant. We are alive! celebrate, because we know we can act and we will act. We built an institution that fills us with pride, dedicated to two incredible activities: health and education, which offer us, every day, the opportunity to be better people, better professionals, best learners in life". The second moment was also a call to think, with the guest of the night, the musician and composer Carlinhos Brown, who brought a little of his history, through a light chat, however full of complexities, mediated by the Development coordinator of People, Luiza Ribeiro. "Health as a desire cannot individualize us to the point of provoking such violence that we see today", warned the artist. The artist also spoke of the importance of education as the world's great path to success. The night ended with an emblematic show specially prepared by the artist for all collaborators, students, teachers, alumni and guests of the Bahiana. The repertoire featured popular songs since the beginning of his career, such as "Meia-Lua Inteira" (1989), "Much Thank You Axé" (2009) and "Tantinho" (2014). public through posts that were shared on their personal profiles and published on the company's Instagram Bahiana.

Bahiana celebrates 70 years of tradition in innovating

A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública celebrates 70 years of foundation, this Tuesday (31/05), with a special program that will be broadcast live on its official channel on <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC7UAeNTkvw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube</a>, from 20 pm. The high point of the celebration will be marked by an interview and a show by the Bahian singer and songwriter Carlinhos Brown, recognized for his creations, always innovative and contemporary, which combine art with the appreciation of Brazilian culture. In its history, the Bahiana, as the institution is known, has a trajectory that has been combining tradition with innovation. Through humanistic training of health professionals, the institution stands out for its research and extension actions, always aimed at benefiting society and the community in which it operates. In its 70s, the Bahiana contributed to the training of thousands of health professionals, in undergraduate courses in Biomedicine, Physical Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology and Occupational Therapy, in addition to the training of masters and doctors, in its Stricto Sensu Medicine and Human Health, Psychology and Health Interventions and Health Technologies, and specialists in dozens of Lato Sensu courses.
