At a time when the role of religion in relation to health is being discussed in the country, professor Liliane Lins, professor of the Medicine course and coordinator of the Common Nucleus on Ethics and Bioethics at Bahiana, launches, on September 4, in the hall of the Rectory of the State University of Feira de Santana, the book "Organ donation and transplantation according to the Baptists' vision".

The publication, by Editora UEFS, is the result of the thesis of free teaching, in which an empirical research was carried out, being later rewritten in book format, in order to inform the population about the ethical and bioethical aspects of organ donation and transplantation in the Brazil. "This work has an academic weight, as it competed for a specific public notice, being judged blindly by peers, and UEFS Editora is affiliated to the Brazilian Association of University Publishers", says Prof. Dr. Liliane Lins.
