12th SIPAT - Brotas

On July 17th and 18th, the employees of Bahiana participated in the 12th Internal Week of Occupational Accident Prevention(SIPAT) whose main objective was to guide and make employees aware of the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses in the workplace. The initiative promoted a prevention vision, in which employees can recognize unsafe conditions and practices, thus preventing accidents and undesirable situations with regard to the health and safety of workers.

The activities were held on July 17th at the Health Memorial, at the Cabula Academic Unit and on the 18th at Pavilion III, of the Academic Unit Brotas. The program included the stand of the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA) with tips on worker safety and the correct way to use personal protective equipment, distribution of the CIPA/Bahiana and exposure of the campaigns and actions carried out by the commission's 2013/2014 management; Nursing stand with monitoring of health indicators; Quality of Life stand with self-defense classes, ballroom dancing, yoga and free dental cleaning; Healthy Eating stand, with tips and guidance given by professors and students of the Nursing course and the Physiotherapy stand with QuickMassage.

At the end of each day, the traditional parody competition was held with the three best works from each academic unit.
