Education for Work Program

It happens today (13) and tomorrow (14), at the Cabula Academic Unit, the I Salvador PET Health Show. The event will bring together the working groups of the Education for Work Program (PET) of the Bahiana, UFBA and UNEB. The opening took place at 9:30 am and was attended by representatives of the Bahiana, from the two universities and from the Municipal and State Health Departments.

The opening lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Maria Auxiliadora Córdova Christófaro. The lecture had the theme "Training through work: teaching in health services". A retired professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, she is a member of the Brazilian Nursing Association, having held the position of president of the entity from 1992 to 1995. She is currently a consultant at the Ministry of Health, in the Department of Management of Education in Health.

In her presentation, Prof. Dr. Maria Auxiliadora addressed the relationship between work and education, classifying it as "necessary, efficient, controversial, complex and challenging".
