Progress Test

Share

The Progress Test, carried out with medical students, on October 26, had the participation of 533 students from all semesters. Assessment, which has a formative character, aiming to measure the performance of an institution in the training of professionals, is an initiative carried out by the most important higher education institutions worldwide.

For the first time in Salvador, this test was developed through a consortium involving the Bahiana, Unifacs and Uneb. The initiative to apply it at the School is part of a project that the institution participates in with the Brazilian Association of Medical Education (ABEM). In addition to valuing the course in the educational scenario in Brazil, it is also recognized in the curriculum evaluation for admission to medical residencies.

The Progress Test does not have a selection or classification character, being a cognitive assessment that takes into account the student's individual knowledge gain. The idea is that the test is applied continuously so that both the student and the teacher can perceive the development of their knowledge throughout the course. The exam is prepared and consolidated in the basic and clinical areas, which are important for the benefit of the internship and for professional development.
