Medical students represent the Bahiana at the XV Northeastern Congress of Neurosurgery

Bahiana it was very well represented by medical students during the XV Northeastern Congress of Neurosurgery, which took place from October 17th to 19th, at the Bahia Othon Palace Hotel, in Salvador. 
 
With the work "Assessment of Neurolysis of the Median, Ulnar, Peroneal and Tibial Nerves in Leprosy Neuropathy", student Lázaro Lacerda Santos, from the 7th semester, was recognized with 1st place. 
 
2nd place went to the study "Transfer of the Radial Nerve from the Medial Triceps Head to the Axillary Nerve Through the Axillary Approach", by student Ana Flavia Matos D'Almeida Santos, from the 7th semester. The 3rd place was won by the 5th semester student, Maria Teresa Karaoglan Mendes Borges Lima, who presented the work "Brain Tumor and Emotional Repercussions"

A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously.
