Bahiana is represented at the XNUMXst Alagoas Conference on Physiotherapy in Maternal and Child Health

The coordinator of the research group “Ucting Disorders and Female Genitals”, the professor of the Physiotherapy course, Dr. Patrícia Lordêlo, together with the masters in technology and health, Daniela Minas, Juliana Menezes and the students of the 8th semester of the Physiotherapy course , Cristina Brasil, Maria Clara Pavie and Luise Damasceno represented the Bahiana during the VII Northeastern Meeting of Physiotherapy in Women's Health (ENFISM) and the 26st Alagoas Conference on Physiotherapy in Maternal and Child Health, which took place on October 27th and XNUMXth, in Maceió (AL).

On the occasion, the works “Electroconditioning: a new therapeutic approach for nocturnal enuresis” were presented by student Cristina Brasil; "Uroflowmetry of children without urinary complaints and with isolated overactive bladder", by master's student Daniela Minas; "Evaluation of perineal myoelectric activity in voluntary contraction and hypopressive gymnastics", by master's student Juliana Menezes and "Evaluation of the Quality of Life in Women with Flaccidity in External Genitália after Radiofrequency Application”, by student Maria Clara Pavie.

The group was also present at the events with the posters “The influence of positioning during urination: urufloxometric and electromyographic assessment”, presented by master's student Daniela Minas and “Urophloxometric data in children with overactive bladder”, by undergraduate Cristina Brasil.

The study “Urufloxometry of children without urinary complaints and with isolated overactive bladder”, carried out by the authors, Daniela Minas, Prof. Dr. Ubirajara Barroso and Prof. Dr. Patricia Lordelo, were awarded 2nd place in the oral presentation modality, and the work “Electroconditioning for nocturnal enuresis: a new therapeutic approach”, carried out by Cristina Brasil, Alcina Teles, Prof. Dr. Ubirajara Barroso and Prof. Dr. Patricia Lordelo took 3rd place, also in the oral presentation modality.
