Teachers complete a course on Group Management for the Collective Construction of Knowledge

Activity is another PROIDD initiative.

In order to encourage the use of new teaching-learning methodologies, the Bahiana, through its Institutional Program for Teacher Development (PROIDD), promoted the holding of the extension course Management of Groups for the Collective Construction of Knowledge, lasting 40 hours, which began in May and ended in October.

With a theoretical-practical approach, centered on the experience of teachers and on the framework of socio-educational psychodrama, professors Ubton Nascimento, from Bahiana and Georges Salin, external guest, discussed experiences about the practice of teachers, bringing a consistent theoretical foundation, dynamics with group techniques and experiences with psychodrama.


"The evaluation carried out by the participating professors considered the course to be very productive, well-planned and participatory", says the coordinator of PROIDD, the professor of the Dentistry course, Sandra Brasil. According to her, the course brought rich theoretical, conceptual and practical-living material, providing an opportunity for reflection on teaching practice and the appropriation of the methodology of working with groups. "It also included the subjectivity dimension, building scenes, images and movements, favoring the appropriation of new meanings for didactic experiences", completes Sandra Brasil.

The course stimulated interest in deepening knowledge in such a way that teachers requested continuity in the form of supervision. Several teachers are already developing activities in the classroom, in internships and in the Candeal Program, using the fundamentals of the methodology. According to the coordinator of PROIDD, the role of the teacher by Rolling Play it will be the new teacher training action to be carried out in 2014, meeting this demand.
