Bahiana opens applications for postgraduate studies in Medicine and Human Health

Registration for the selection process for masters e doctorate em Medicine and Human Health of the Postgraduate, Research and Extension Program of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. Those interested should go to one of the units of the Postgraduate, Research and Extension Departments of Bahiana, in the Academic Units Brotas and Kabula. To compete for one of the 17 places in the master's program, the candidate must be graduated in Medicine or in other areas of health, with a certificate of course completion recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).

The eight places offered by the doctoral program are intended for holders of a master's degree in health, recognized by the MEC, with submission of the article for the dissertation defended within 9 (nine) months and acceptance letter or article published for the dissertation, there are more than 10 (ten). For those who do not have a master's degree, two articles published in the last triennium in a medical journal indexed in an international bibliographic database (Medline) are required, one of them, obligatorily, as the first author.

The master's objective is to deepen technical, scientific and ethical knowledge, aiming at the training of human resources for the best exercise of research, teaching and assistance, using the methodology of “problem-based learning” and the ability to “evaluate scientific evidence”. The doctoral course aims to develop the ability to research with autonomy and originality and to add new knowledge.
