Teaching Quality Ranking
The Medicine course of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública it was among the top 25 in Brazil, in terms of teaching quality, in a total of 172 courses evaluated, among public and private institutions, according to the Folha University Ranking (RUF), promoted by the Folha de São Paulo newspaper and published in the edition of the vehicle, last Monday, September 9th.
In the article, the director of Bahiana, Dr. Prof. Maria Luisa Soliani highlights the fact that the Bahiana to be the first institution in the country to adopt family and community health as a mandatory undergraduate discipline. Check the article.
According to this evaluation, the Medicine course reached the 23rd place in Brazil and the 1st place in the North and Northeast regions, among all the public and private institutions evaluated. Among private institutions across the country, the Medicine course of Bahiana was the 4th place.
In turn, the Dentistry course at Bahiana it was classified as the best graduation from a private institution in the North and Northeast and the second best course in Bahia, between public and private. The RUF evaluated a total of 188 Dentistry courses throughout Brazil.
The evaluation established a total score of 100, comprising five points corresponding to the ENADE score; 20 points to the percentage of professors with a doctorate degree (MEC data) and 75 points to the evaluation carried out by 465 university professors, registered by the National Institute of Teaching and Research Anísio Teixeira, linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC). These criteria establish a Teaching Ranking.
Job Market Ranking
Through a Datafolha survey, the RUF also heard 1.681 people responsible for the human resources area of companies, who chose courses from the institutions they most valued, thus composing a Labor Market Ranking. Courses that obtained the same number of citations were grouped in the same place. The highest score was 100.
According to the market recognition criteria, courses from Bahiana obtained the following scores and placements:
PHYSIOTHERAPY: 96.9 (2nd best grade) - 5th place in Brazil
NURSING: 92.9 (2nd best grade) - 13th place in Brazil
DENTISTRY: 92.86 (3nd best grade) - 7th place in Brazil
PSYCHOLOGY: 91.71 (4nd best grade) - 17th place in Brazil
MEDICINE: 86,14 (4nd best grade) - 15th place in Brazil
