Medical students are selected for internship at Hospital AC Camargo Cancer Center

Approved are students of the Scientific Initiation Program at NBBio.

Students Raisa Cintra Lomanto Santos Silva and Ludmilla Acelina Candido Santos, from the 8th semester of the Medicine course, were selected for an internship at Hospital AC Camargo Cancer Center (São Paulo), a reference in the treatment, prevention, research and diagnosis of cancer.

The students are undergraduate students at the Center for Biotechnology and Bioprospecting (NBBio), a sector from which they received full support and teachings related mainly to the search, interpretation and critical analysis of scientific articles, as well as developing laboratory skills through learning scientific methodologies and research techniques.

To be accepted in the one-week (40-hour) internship program, the students underwent the selection process, consisting of three phases: curriculum analysis and academic records, in addition to a dissertation test and an interview.
