August of the Arts brings together talents from Bahiana

In yet another edition, the project takes place with the participation of students, teachers and employees.

Transforming and forming through the arts. This is the proposal of the project Agosto das Artes, an initiative that integrates the program tune in with of the NAPP - Psychopedagogical Care Center, which aims to enrich university life, integration and communication between students, professors and employees of the Bahiana. This year, the project took place on August 20 and 22, for the third time at the Academic Unit Brotas and Friday, the 30th, for the second time, at the Cabula Academic Unit.

"We believe that art is part of the formation of human beings, so the AAugust of the Arts it is an invitation to training sensitive to creativity and differences. We invite our students, professors and employees to share their talents”, explains the NAPP manager, Prof. Angélica Mendes.

The presentations of the AI like the arts they always take place from 12:30 pm to 14 pm, when everyone can participate, without interfering with academic and administrative activities. This year, at the Academic Unit Brotas, an exhibition of photographs of the coordinator and professor of the Medicine course, Dr. Eliana de Paula; handicraft exhibitions by patients at the Aristides Novis Psychosocial Care Center, clothes by plastic artist Aline Costa, in addition to the Literary Bookshop that every year “promotes the dissemination of reading and knowledge, through the circulation of books that we collect throughout the year ”, declares Professor Angelica.

In addition to the exhibitions, there were musical presentations, carpentry and special wood painting workshops, poetry recitations, the presentation of a string about psychology and the work of the psychologist in contemporaneity, carried out by the second semester student of Psychology, Kaíke Costa Oliveira de Jesus. “It is an immense satisfaction to participate in this work and what motivated me was to spread the word about psychology. We students and professionals need to take this psychology to many people who don't know it. So, right away, it's implanted in my mind that psychology is something good and interesting and it also changes people. It directly transforms man”, declared the student.

This year, the NAPP had the support of psychology students Carolina de Oliveira Miranda, Conceição Maria de Lima Dias, Dermeval do Nascimento Filho, Estela Maria Miranda Guimarães, Veridiana da Paz Alves Santos and physiotherapy student Vitor Pontes Soares, in the organization and holding the event.
