At the start, the Bahiana will carry out, with the competitors, physical preparation actions such as stretching and exercises that help in performance during the race, in addition to offering preventive guidance.

Promoted by the Army's Complementary Training School (EsFCEx) and by the Salvador Military College (CMS), the Duque de Caxias Race can be run on 7km or 10km routes. Upon arrival, the physiotherapy team from Bahiana will receive participants with relaxation activities, bandages and massage therapy.
