PET Projects - Health/Networks of Bahiana approved

Bahiana launches public notice for selection of scholarship students for the PET Program.

The Ministry of Health, through the Secretariat of Labor Management and Health Education (SGTES), and the Ministry of Education, via the Secretariat of Higher Education (Sesu), approved three projects of the Education Program through Work for Health - PET - Health Networks in Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, in partnership with the State and Municipal Health Secretariats. 36 scholarships are offered to students in Medicine, Nursing and Psychology courses.

The program aims to provide students, professors of health courses at the Bahiana, residents and professionals of health services, an experience in real care, teaching and research actions in SUS health care networks in an integrated and interdisciplinary way. The actions will be carried out in health units located in the Health Districts Cabula-Beiru and Pau da Lima, in addition to the Hospital Geral Roberto Santos.

 

The initiative must correlate theory and practice, aiming at training and continuing education, for the efficient service of the population. Prevention and care actions in the most prevalent health conditions related to urgency and emergency, based on life cycle, will be prioritized.

 

The program will be developed through three working groups, namely Maternal Health; Children's health; Adult and Elderly Health.

PET-Saúde is regulated by Interministerial Ordinance No. 421, of March 03, 2010, as one of the intersectoral actions aimed at strengthening strategic areas for the Unified Health System – SUS.
