Tribute to nursing technicians - ADAB

This Monday (20) was a milestone for the nursing technicians of the Teaching-Care Clinic of the Bahiana who were honored by the passing of the Day of the Nurse and Nursing Technician, celebrated on May 12th. The opening of the event counted on the words of the director of the ADAB and coordinator of the Medicine course at Bahiana, Dr. Eliana de Paula, who emphasized the importance of the nursing technician profession, its taboos and its relevance in the role of patients' cure and prevention. The event was a realization of the ADAB nursing coordination in partnership with the Educational Technologies Development Center of the Bahiana (CEDETE), Communication and Marketing Nucleus and Events Nucleus.

On the occasion, the coordinators of the clinics also expressed their gratitude to all the technicians for their great work. The role of nursing in the development of outpatient activities, as well as the achievements since 2009, were highlighted by the nursing coordinator, Nurse Ana Paula Monteiro. "There was a big change in the profile of nursing at ADAB, in promoting the performance and skills of the profile of the techniques, seeking excellence in nursing service in general," he declared.

The program also featured the screening of a film created by the ADAB nursing coordination, in partnership with CEDETE. "We seek to motivate the day-to-day and the importance of nursing in people's lives, in addition to showing the gratitude of the Bahiana and from ADAB to these professionals for all the activities and contributions made during all these years", completes Nurse Ana Paula.

After the film was shown, there was a raffle with gifts and the distribution of flowers and cards. To close the event, a coffee break was served to celebrate this great day.
