Demonstration marks International Lupus Day

The difficulties experienced by patients with lupus will be the flag raised in the demonstration that takes place on May 10, in front of the State Health Department, at the Administrative Center of Bahia. The political act is an initiative of the Association Bahiana de Lupus, an entity created by a group of volunteers, friends and patients with the disease that has the support of rheumatologists and physicians from other specialties, under the leadership of Dr. Myttermayer Santiago.

The association works on the premises of the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic of the BahianaOn Brotas, since 2010. "The objective is to present to society the difficulties experienced by patients with lupus, from diagnosis to treatment", declares the director of ADAB, Dr. Elaine de Paula.
