Discussing the entrepreneurial profile within Nursing was the theme of the 6th Nursing Conference of Bahiana which began this Thursday morning (25), at the Cabula Academic Unit. The program that continued until the end of Friday included lectures, short courses and round tables with the participation of several guests.

The opening was attended by the coordinator of the Nursing course at Bahiana, Prof. Maria de Lourdes Freitas Gomes and the coordinators of the Jornada Prof. Ana Shirley Maranhão Vieira and Prof. Cristiane Magali. As a first activity, the more than 150 participants attended a lecture by Sebrae's Commerce and Services Projects manager, Fabrício Barreto, who addressed the theme of entrepreneurship and how Sebrae can help entrepreneurs in that first moment.

"The idea of this journey is to bring guests and professors to our students and professors who can update the nursing field. The journey takes place since the first year of our course and is important not only for students but also for graduates. multiplying our knowledge", declared Prof. Maria de Lourdes.

The choice of the theme was intended to encourage the emergence of new markets in the Bahian scene, as Prof. Cristiane Magali comments. "It is not uncommon for nurses to understand that they only have to work in work environments that are already established. So we want to awaken a reflection to create new spaces based on an entrepreneurial, innovative and creative attitude", he explains.

The theme was what caught the attention of former student Lorena Gomes Santos. "I'm here for the theme and this issue of entrepreneurship, new ideas and new opportunities is very important, as the nursing market today has shown itself to be very competitive."
