Bahiana and Uneb

The coordinator and vice-coordinator of Postgraduate Studies, Research and Extension at Bahiana, Dr. Kátia Sá and Prof. Carolina Pedroza, received, in March, the visit of Prof. Francisca de Paula Santos da Silva from the University of the State of Bahia (UNEB). The objective of the meeting was to consolidate the approximation between the Bahiana and Uneb, through actions that will make up the Inter-institutional Inter-institutional Center for Research and Extension (NIIPE). Prof. Francisca holds a post-doctoral and doctorate degree from the University of Coimbra, a professor at the undergraduate and graduate level at UNEB, with studies and research in the fields of solidarity economy, sustainable work and community-based tourism, with publications and research whose focus it is the territory of Cabula and its surroundings.

Among NIIPE's ongoing projects are the Environment, Health and Community-Based Tourism: setting up a Network for the Quality of Life in the Cabula/Beiru Sanitary District, whose coordinators are teachers Francisca de Paula (UNEB), Maria Antonieta Araújo and Prof. Jorge Noilton Dias (Bahiana); Health Education in the Cabula/Beiru Sanitary District - a work with adolescents, under the coordination of teachers Alfredo Eurico Rodrigues Matta (UNEB) and Cláudia de Carvalho Santana (Bahiana) it's at XNUMXst Environment and Health Fair, to be held at the UNEB Campus, in Cabula, from the 10th to the 14th of July.
