Medical students are featured in scientific event

The work "Mesenteric Ischemia Associated with Previous Elevation of Cardiac Troponin - Case Report" by students of the 3rd semester of Medicine Eduardo de Souza Barreto, Felipe Carvalho Leão, Léo Dantas Ferreira, Lorenza Andres Almeida de Souza, Lucas Almeida Santana Rocha and Mariana May Cedro, was among the best in the Surgery Congress of the Bahia Chapter – Sector IV. The event took place on December 6th and 7th, at the Bahia Othon Palace Hotel.

The study, which at the time of the congress was presented by the academic Felipe Carvalho Leão, was supervised by the coordinator of Biomorphology I and II of the Medicine course at Bahiana, professor doctor Rinaldo Antunes Barros. According to him, "the work was among the best presented, having been highlighted by the technical quality of the presentation, receiving unanimous praise from the entire review board". Prof. Dr. Rinaldo also highlights the rarity of the clinical case presented.
