Physiotherapy students are awarded in a scientific journey

GEPFIR members take first place in the III Journey Bahiana of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care

The work “Lung Function and Physical Activity Level in Smokers” by students Cauê Santos da Mata, Camila Mariana Silveira Bonfim, Flávio Eduardo da Hora Miranda, Alana Mangabeira, Luciana Bilitário Macedo and Cristiane Maria Carvalho Costa Dias, members of the Research Group in Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiotherapy of Bahiana (GEPFIR), was recognized with the first place award in free theme at the III Jornada Bahiana of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care. The meeting took place on December 1st, at the José Figueira auditorium, at Hospital Santa Izabel.

On the occasion of the journey, the work was presented by academics Cauê da Mata and Camila Bonfim. The event is an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Intensive Physiotherapy (ASSOBRAFIR). Among its objectives, the initiative proposes to encourage national and regional scientific production with the opening of spaces for the presentation of works; deepen and disseminate knowledge in the area of ​​approach and involve academics, encouraging them to improve their knowledge.
