Former Student presents work at International Symposium

A recent graduate in Nursing, Tássia Teles presents a study on obesity.

The recent graduate of the Nursing course at Bahiana, Tássia Teles, participated in the VI International Nursing Symposium, promoted by Hospital Albert Einstein, at the end of September, in São Paulo. With an innovative theme that addresses the image of the person with obesity, the nurse represented the Bahiana with the poster “The body self-image of the obese patient: meaning for self-care”. The study is an excerpt of his course conclusion work, the result of his participation in the Research Group for the Study of Excess Weight (PEPE).

Nurse Tássia Teles was the only Bahian to present work in the form of a poster. His work had as advisors the Nursing professor Cátia Palmeira, the supervisors of the Obesity Clinic and professors of the Medicine course, Dr. Maria de Lourdes Lima, Dr. Ana Marice and the project coordinator, Dr. Armênio Guimarães.
