V Nursing Conference of Bahiana

Nursing students from Bahiana and from other higher education institutions, professors and professionals in the area participated, on August 20 and 21, in the V Nursing Conference of Bahiana, at the Cabula Academic Unit. The meeting, which is already a tradition in the academic calendar of the course, has as its theme "Education: taking new paths to a contemporary practice".
The opening was attended by the coordinator of the Nursing course, Prof. Maria de Lourdes de Freitas Gomes, the coordinator of People Development at Bahiana, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro, by Prof. Eliane Simoni, member of the organizing committee and president of Coren/BA, Nurse Maria Luisa de Castro Almeida.
According to Prof. Maria de Lourdes, the theme is of fundamental importance, since "the professional path in Nursing starts from the moment of choosing the course. Therefore, it is important to reflect: who am I during the course?"
"Health and education are sister areas. Bahiana We were very happy to see a large audience like this, valuing our house silver, which are our teachers, students and former students", commented Prof.ª Luiza Ribeiro.
Among the activities of the opening morning, there was a lecture "Approaching the social ethical-political role", with the psychologist Carlos Linhares, in addition to the presentation of panels of the Anjos da Enfermagem and Candeal programs, followed by the Meeting of Graduates: Reports of Experiences.
