III Meeting of Academic Secretariats

Recognizing itself as an integral part and fundamental part of the institution in which it works was the starting point of the III Meeting of Academic Secretariats of Bahiana which began in the afternoon of September 3, in the auditorium of the Convention Center of the Cabula Academic Unit. Together, about 150 employees who make up all administrative sectors of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública were present and were greeted with a beautiful exhibition of photographs.

The warm opening was attended by the academic secretary Vera Martins who coordinated the work, the coordinator of People Development, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro and the director of Bahiana, Prof. Dr. Maria Luisa Soliani. “The quality we want in our School is the joy of our employees in doing something well. We must understand quality as something that will produce joy. So, what we must reflect is the quality of human relationships, the quality of the transparency of relationships, of caring for the other. The work we've been doing at Bahiana is that, both in moments of sadness and in moments of joy, we have someone to listen to us, someone to ask us: how can I help you?”, said Dr. Maria Luisa to the collaborators present in the auditorium.

Also present were the director of the Teaching-Assistential Outpatient Clinic of the Bahiana, Dr. Eliana de Paula, the coordinator and vice-coordinator of the Postgraduate, Research and Extension nucleus, Dr. Kátia Sá and Prof. Carolina Pedroza, in addition to the coordinators of the Dentistry course, Prof. Urbino Tunes and Nursing, Prof. Maria de Lourdes Freitas Gomes.

On the occasion, a lecture was given on the environment and sustainability, presented by the environmental engineer and SENAI consultant, Flávio Alves. The works on the theme "What is quality?" was introduced by the business administrator and member of the Quality Management Nucleus of Bahiana, Luciana Branco.

During the following day, the Formative Process of Teaching Quality (PROFEQ) was carried out. Similar to the Selective Formative Process of Bahiana, PROFEQ included dynamics, film screening, experience and quality assessment. For the administrative assistant, located at the Communication and Marketing Nucleus, Luiz Eduardo Santana, the event was extremely positive, well prepared, surpassing the previous year. “I found mass! Better than last year. The thing that I found most important and that I liked the most was the experience of 'how to pass on information'. It was very fruitful”.

For the psychologist of the Pedagogical Care Center, Patrícia Viana, these moments are very important for the health of the institution, as, in addition to promoting reflection, it encourages employees to perform their duties. “I was conducting a dynamic and our objective was precisely to promote the professional development of these people, letting them know their role in the institution. The proposed reflection was 'What is the value of quality in your life?', as this involves the personal, professional, emotional environment, etc.”
