Psychology students participate in a Special Session at ALBA

Legislative Assembly honors 50 years of Psychology in Brazil.

Students and professors of the Psychology course at Bahiana participated in a Special Session held at the Legislative Assembly of Bahia, last August 30, in honor of 50 years of Psychology in Brazil. Authored by the state deputy and psychologist, Álvaro Gomes, the session was part of the celebrations for the regulation of the profession of psychologist in the country, through Law No. 4.119 of 1962.

 

                                     

 

In addition to the author of the tribute, the coordinator of the Psychology course, Mônica Daltro, the professor and Regional Councilor of Psychology, Marilda Castelar, the president of the Regional Council of Psychology, Walter da Mata and the president of the Union of Psychologists from Bahia, Geová Moraes.

For Prof. Mônica Daltro, “Psychology needs the intervention of the Legislative Power as a way to help build a fairer society, making use of a Psychology that liberates, revolutionizes and invests in people”.
