Physiotherapy article is the 5th most visited in Scielo

The scientific article "Circulatory response to a 50-m walk in the coronary unit, in acute coronary syndrome", by the professor of the Physiotherapy course, Cristiane Maria Carvalho Costa Dias, was recognized by the Arquivos Brasileiros de Cardiologia, the most important and oldest publication of the Brazilian cardiology, as the 5th most visited article in Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), during 2011.
The study was carried out with 65 patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), with the aim of establishing a standardized and monitored technique to start their rehabilitation.
The research was built in partnership with researcher physiotherapists Ana Célia Carneiro de Almeida Maiato, Kátia Maria Moreno Baqueiro, Alessandra Maia Furtado Ficaredo, Fernanda Warken Rosa, Janaina Oliveira Pitanga, Ludmila Ivo Catão de Souza and the Professor of the Medicine course at Bahiana, Dr. Armênio Costa Guimarães, cardiologist.

A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously.
