From May 21st to 23rd, students of the Nursing course at Bahiana, members of the supervised internship in Public Health, held a course for pregnant women undergoing prenatal care at the 11th Health Center in Salvador. The initiative has been going on since 2010, responding to a request from professionals at this health unit, due to the large demand of patients.

Thus, the academics organized classes with diversified content, covering the areas of pregnant women's rights, aesthetics, healthy eating, breastfeeding and care for the newborn. In addition to future mothers, grandmothers and partners also participated.

In this edition, the classes involved group dynamics, simulated tests and some practices. There were also raffles for gifts for mothers and babies and distribution of healthy snacks to all participants. At the end, the pregnant women received a certificate of participation in the course.
