Health Fair

More than 100 students from Biomedicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Psychology, Dentistry and Occupational Therapy courses at Bahiana participated, on May 26, in the Health Fair of the Teaching-Care Clinic of the Bahiana that took place in the Parish of Our Lady of Brotas, from 8 pm to 16 pm.

Divided into groups, the students, supervised by teachers, provided various medical care and promoted educational and health promotion activities. Among the services provided to the community, blood pressure measurements were carried out with guidance on the prevention and control of arterial hypertension; capillary blood glucose test; calculation of the Body Mass Index (BMI) - for the prevention and control of obesity; quick test for diagnosis of Hepatitis C and fun activities for children and teenagers.

The project “Ver Melhor”, from Hospital Humberto Castro Lima /IBOPC, also participated with a group of residents who underwent visual acuity exams.
