The changes in the subject due to the influence of new media was the focus of the lecture by Prof. Anna Amélia Faria that took place on April 26, at the Academic Unit Brotas. On the occasion, the speaker discussed with the participants the transforming impact of the artistic image, the internet and its social networks and television in the contemporary community.

The event was attended by the coordinator of the Psychology course, Prof. Mônica Daltro, the CEDETE manager and professor of the Medicine course, Antonio Carlos Costa and the pedagogical supervisor of the Academic Unit Brotas, the pedagogue Lígia Marques Vilas Boas, as well as teachers and students.

Prof. Anna Amélia Faria
Graduated in Psychology from Universidade São Marcos (1995), has a master's degree in Communication from Universidade de Brasília (2003), and Ph.D. in the Postgraduate Program in Letters and Linguistics from Universidade Federal da Bahia (2009). It is associated with the National Association of Visual Arts Researchers (Anpap) by the Visual Arts Education Committee (CEAV). She is sub-editor of the Virtual Journals of Culture and Literature Verbo 21 and consultant at Instituto Anísio Teixeira in 2010, in the LeiturAção Project. Has experience in Psychoanalysis, acting on the following topics: body, culture, contemporary art, behavior analysis.
