Communication at the service of health. It is known that the more informed a person is, the more likely he is to prevent himself from problems, especially those related to health and well-being. And it is with this communication that students from the 7th and 8th semester of the Nursing course are contributing to a better quality of life for residents of the Engomadeira neighborhood.

Since March, students of the Curriculum Internship in Public Health II have participated in the program "Health Hour", on Rádio Comunitária de Engomadeira. According to teacher Tatiane Araújo, "The objective of the integration is to enable the residents of Engomadeira to access health information in an interactive way. In addition, it aims to bring the Basic Health Unit closer to the population, disclosing what services exist and how users can access them"

The themes "Citizenship and Correct Waste Management" (March 22) and "Sexuality, STD and Family Planning" (April 12) have already been presented. On May 10, "Hora da Saúde" will address the "Fighting Dengue". The themes "Child, Adolescent, Adult and Elderly Vaccination Calendar" and "Health Users' Rights" are also planned, which will be aired on May 24 and 31, respectively.
