The Interdisciplinary Autism Research Laboratory of Bahiana - Maze, in partnership with the Professor Milton Santos Institute of Humanities, Art and Sciences - IHAC/UFBA, will give the lecture next Friday, March 2, at 18 pm “The Mental Health System in the UK” which will be uttered by the doctor Dinesh Sinha, Psychotherapy Consultant Psychiatrist at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, UK.
The event is open to the public and will be held in the auditorium of the Bahiana, located at Rua Frei Henrique, nº 8, Nazaré. Registration is free and will take place on site, 30 minutes before the start of the lecture. More information by tel. (71) 2101 2900.

During the lecture, Dr Dinesh Sinha will carry out an assessment of the UK mental health system, using various perspectives on the current situation. In his speech, the speaker will also address the history of divisions between biological and psychological movements in Psychiatry in the UK, comparing them to other countries and analyzing current divisions in the primary, secondary and tertiary health sectors with the role of "care program approach".
The majority of UK healthcare services are provided through the National Health Service (NHS), which remains the largest healthcare organization in the world and the largest healthcare employer in Europe. The focus will be on the patient's perspective, therapeutic relationships and experience of health services.
