Promote the expansion and consolidation of science, technology and innovation in Brazil, through cooperation and international mobility. This is the main objective of the Science without borders, a program of the Ministries of Education and Science, Technology and Innovation that aims to increase the presence of Brazilian students and researchers in institutions of excellence abroad, in addition to offering opportunities to foreigners in national institutions.

The idea is also to attract talented young people and scientific leaders from abroad to work in the country, in partnership with Brazilian scientists. Among the research areas are Engineering and technology segments; Exact and Earth Sciences; Biology, Biomedical and Health Sciences; Computing and Information Technologies; Drugs; Biotechnology; Biodiversity and Bioprospecting; Nanotechnology; among others.

For Brazilians abroad, scholarships vary from three months to four years (in the case of a doctorate). CNPq and CAPES will finance tickets and scholarships for maintenance, installation and health insurance expenses (in countries where health care is not free).

To participate
Undergraduate, graduate and researchers students must participate in the public calls for the various types of scholarship that will be published on the portal Science without borders.
