If it were to choose a song that told a little about the inauguration ceremony of the new board of the Junior Company - G8 Scientific Events, which took place this Tuesday, November 22, at the Academic Unit Brotas, few would fit like a glove, as And , by Caetano Veloso. Yes, as he said, "some go... some are... some come... and there are none." Others are equal to the 2011.2 students graduating from the Physiotherapy course who, throughout the year, worked hard to make a dream come true or, as teacher Selena Dubois said, “a real game”.

To complete the work of the G8 in 2011, the coordinator of the Physiotherapy course, Prof. Roseny Ferreira, presented a lecture in which she guided the trainees regarding their posture, both in the application for new job openings and in their behavior as a physiotherapy professional.

The former president, Diego Rabelo, passed his assignments to student Aylla Guanabara Keler Gesteira. “This is a very important moment for me, as I am graduating and the G8 was my first job opportunity. It all started as a simple extension activity, but things grew so intense that before we founded the company, we had already received service proposals,” said Diego in his farewell speech.

Present at the ceremony, the director of Bahiana, Prof. Dr. Maria Luisa Soliani reaffirmed the institution's interest in supporting students, especially when it comes to innovative initiatives. "THE Bahiana always supported good ideas. And this one from the G8 is great. Innovative. We believe and trust people. That's what we did with the Junior Physical Therapy Company”.

No less moved than the students, professor Selena Dubois, a key player in the project's gear, according to all G8 participants, received tributes and thanks in every speech of the night. “It really was a construction that excited me, but it was excited by the truth that was taking shape at every step. I really have a very open heart, but the students have been adding and contributing more and more. We will continue with this excitement, but it was very important to start”, declared Dubois.

The new president reiterated the words of Professor Selena, but, with her feet on the ground, stated that “there is still a lot to build. Let's organize the company to grow. For this, we count on the experience and support of the board that is now leaving the company”, said Aylla.

G8 Scientific Events
The Junior Company - G8 Scientific Events was created when the students were in the outpatient stage II. Management in a physiotherapy clinic was then worked on during the 9th semester of the course. Among the modules, students performed strategic planning, business planning, administrative management, among other subjects.
