The coordinator of Graduate Studies, Research and Extension of the Bahiana, Prof. Dr. Kátia Sá, was at the University of Lisbon, earlier this month, where she participated in the panel of examiners defending the dissertation of the Brazilian physiotherapist, Danilo Calmon de Siqueira. She was the co-supervisor of the work that received the highest grade awarded to date by the graduate program at that university.

“The professors, chair researchers from European universities, were impressed with the quality of the work that Danilo developed here in Brazil under my guidance. This is my first Master's co-supervisor and his success makes me very happy”, says Dr.ª Kátia Sá. She explains that, in his research, the academic translated and validated a questionnaire for functional assessment of the shoulder in a project entitled "Translation and Cultural Adaptation to the Portuguese Language of Brazil of the Shoulder Rating Questionnaire". The work is being prepared for publication.

The defense took place on November 2 and the panel was attended by professors Jan Maria Hendrick Cabri (University of Oslo - Norwegian School of Sport Sciences), João António Neves Gil (University of Coimbra - School of Health Technology), Raul Alexandre Nunes da Silva Oliveira (President of the Board and Coordinator of the Physiotherapy Sciences Program at the Technical University of Lisbon) and Dr. Kátia Sá, representing the Bahiana and Brazil, as this is the first time that the University of Lisbon has hosted a Brazilian professor on a postgraduate board.
