The Psychology course of Bahiana and the Bahia Psychoanalytic Circle invite you to get to know and understand the main factors that lead men and women to experience marital relationships and love in such a different way.

That women and men live love completely differently, everyone knows. But understanding why this happens is the big question. And to help understand this dilemma, the psychologist, psychoanalyst and doctor in psychoanalysis, Malvine Zalcberg, one of the country's leading authorities on the subject, gives the lecture "Why do men and women live love in different ways?".

The meeting with the researcher takes place on October 21, from 8 am to 10 am, at the Academic Unit Brotas, room 206.

Registration is free and must be made by calling 71 3276 8265.

In her speech, the psychologist will explore the main factors that lead men and women to experience marital relationships and love in such a different way.

Malvine is a psychologist, psychoanalyst and PhD in psychoanalysis. She was an adjunct professor at the University of Rio de Janeiro from which she left after 26 years of academic activities. Convinced of the importance of transmitting the contributions of psychoanalysis to the general public, it has been dedicating itself to this objective, in parallel with the exercise of clinical practice and participation in congresses and seminars on psychoanalysis. In his books, as well as in his interventions in various media, he exposes psychoanalytic concepts in clear and accessible language, without, however, giving up theoretical rigor. He is particularly dedicated to unveiling the singularities of the psychic constitution of men and women, two beings who, according to Lacan, “do not speak the same language”. These characteristics result from the differentiated relationships that girls and boys have with their parents since childhood. And even if the current social context leads us to believe that these distinctions have disappeared, the emotional structure of men and women, says Malvine, has specificities that lead each of them to unwind, in their own way, the bonds of love.
