Bahiana participates in the Workshop in Concert

Public exam of Colégio Oficina takes place at TCA with support from Bahiana.

Research, planning and individual and collective construction of knowledge. That was the motto of 15th In Concert Workshop, public test that Colégio Oficina held on the night of October 5th, at Teatro Castro Alves. With sponsorship in Bahiana, the event involved students from the 5th grade of elementary school to the 3rd year of high school, occupying 1.500 seats in the largest concert hall in Salvador.

The opening of the 15th edition of the Oficina in Concert, which included the award of the first two places in the photography competition, had as its theme music, Diversities and Identities. The award, a gift certificate for each winner, was offered by Bahiana.

Instrumental music by Walter Smetak, Vila Lobos, Pixinguinha, Hermeto Pascoal, César Camargo Mariano and the contemporary Rumpilezz Orchestra opened the night, presented by students from 5th grade A, B and C classes.

The 6th grade showed important rhythms such as samba, African, indigenous and European matrices, leading to reflection on the construction of Brazilian popular culture. Music in religion, advertising, and musical romanticism were the themes of 7th grade.

Brazilian regionalisms were translated by the 8th grade, which exuberantly brought northeastern music, the influence of Dorival Caymmi and African tones.

Rap, Carioca Funk and 80' rock were the themes of the 1st year of high school, followed by a panorama of Brazilian history of the last century with the Jovem Guarda and Bossa Nova movements. Tropicalismo and avant-garde styles, in turn, were brought by the three groups of the 2nd year of high school.

Finally, the 3rd year pre-university students rescued the role of radio as an element of influence in the daily lives of people in the so-called "Golden Era of MPB", highlighting the evolution of the means of communication, the transition from radio to TV, including , establishing an analogy with leaving school to enter the adult, professionalizing world.

Bahiana congratulates Colégio Oficina for its great initiative in the use of playful tools, artistic languages ​​and creativity in the construction of knowledge. This is how the man of tomorrow is done!
