Creative and humane entrance exam is featured in the Brazilian Congress of Careers and Opportunities

The innovations adopted by Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, implemented since 2009 in the institution's selection process, will be the focus of the lecture Transforming entrance exams into creative and humanized learning which will be presented by the director of Bahiana, Prof. Dr. Maria Luísa Carvalho Soliani, on August 26, at 09 am. The lecture is part of the schedule of the Brazilian Congress on Careers and Opportunities to be held from August 24th to 26th, at the Bahia Convention Center. The project has been running since 2008 and is aimed at both university audiences and professionals who wish to expand their knowledge and change their area of ​​expertise.

In 2009 the Bahiana he transformed his old entrance exam into the Formative Selection Process, a pioneering initiative throughout Brazil that starts evaluating candidates for admission to the institution, through their profile. For this, the selection includes, in addition to the knowledge test, the possibility for the candidate to know a little more about the daily life of the chosen course, as well as the respective profession. The idea is to help you identify your true calling. For this, the methodology includes the realization of experiences, during which he has contact with future teachers, coordinators and course colleagues. The process is also distinguished by valuing the participant's personal experience, in addition to expanding their knowledge.

To attend only the lecture of Prof. Dr. Maria Luísa, students of Bahiana and high schools will have a discount on admission, paying only R$ 30,00. To participate in the three days of the Congress, the passport will be purchased in the amount of R$ 80,00. To do this, interested parties just need to present their student ID card. This year, the Bahiana it will have a special space, in which lectures will be held with various themes related to the health area. the auditorium Bahiana will run throughout the 26th of August and will start with the presentation of Prof. Dr. Maria Luísa Carvalho Soliani. At 10 am it will be the turn of the Doctoral Student of the Global Strategic Management Course – Lisbon, Alessandra Passos Magalhães, to present the lecture Health Strategies and Efficiencies: Toyota – Lean Management case.

Knowing Hospital Physical Therapy: New post-discharge functional outcome is the theme of the lecture that will be presented at 11:20 am by Dr. Ícaro Montenegro, member of the Brazilian Association of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Care.

After the lunch break, at 14 pm, the lecture will be given Clinical and Hospital Psychology  by the hospital psychologist, Fernanda Abreu, former student of Bahiana. Then, at 15:20 pm, the coordinator of the Nutrition course at Unijorge, Karine Curvello, will present the theme Functional foods in preventing digestive tract cancer. Finally, Dr. Márcio Vieira from Clínica FLEBO – Physiotherapy and Angiology will present the theme Dermato-Functional Physiotherapy.
