A NIHES/Erasmus University Medical Center receives applications from faculty members and graduate students of the Bahiana to participate in the 2011 Erasmus Summer Program (ESP 2011) to be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from 15th August to 2nd September 2011.
Members can benefit from scholarships for a total of three weeks of courses (EUR 2.500,00) and, in addition, the right to accommodation on the Erasmus International campus. Scholarships are awarded based on a selection based on meritocracy, also considering important criteria such as good geographic distribution among Brazilian institutions.
A total of 25 admissions were reserved exclusively for employees and students of Brazilian institutions participating in the NIHES-Brasil Knowledge Platform - 15 scholarships for students (free registration and accommodation) and 10 exemptions from the registration fee (accommodation cost not included) granted to members of the scientific team.
Courses provide a high level of instruction in clinical research training, public health research, and genetic epidemiology. For many participants this can serve as a starting point for a master's or doctoral degree in quantitative public health or medical research.
