V Cycle of Lectures to the Community

Lectures, experiences and theatrical play are part of a program whose theme is prevention.

The playful and the scientific will dialogue, on the 15th and 16th of June, to help patients, students and employees of the Bahiana in understanding their limitations, making them carry out their daily activities with comfort and safety. it is about the V Cycle of Lectures to the Community, an initiative of the Physiotherapy course at Bahiana which, in addition to focusing on promoting a better quality of life, encourages interaction with physiotherapists and students of the Bahiana.

The activities will take place in the Academic Unit Brotas, being, on the first day, in the afternoon and, on the second, in the morning. With prevention as its central theme, the program starts at 14 pm, in Pavilion III, with the presentation of the play Vixe Maria: Come and Learn Health with Physiotherapy. The show addresses, in a relaxed and friendly way, the themes: Ergonomics in Daily Life; Risks of Smoking; Personal and Environmental Hygiene; Prevention: STD / AIDS / HTLV; Risks of Leptospirosis; Prevention of Stroke (cerebrovascular accident); Signs, symptoms and prevention of arthrosis, as well as prevention of dengue. The collective authorship belongs to the students of the 8th and 9th semesters. After the play, there will be a presentation of the patients from the Physiotherapy clinic.

On the 16th, in room 206 of Pavilion III, from 7:30 am, experiences and lectures on hypertension and diabetes will be presented: what it is; Prevention and its complications; First Aid and Home Intercurrences and Body Work: group dynamics.
